Career

ROSWITHA
GIESEN

GRADUATE TRANSLATOR

I have been fascinated with languages since I was a child. My parents were French and Latin teachers and had a huge influence on me. From very early on I also had the chance to watch my grandfather translate medieval chronicles from Latin into German. Later I helped him with editing his work.

At school and university this interest in languages developed into my current field of professional interest. For me, languages have always represented two things: the fascination of sound and words or a well-written text, and meeting the people who speak them.
